About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director of Growth to join our UK Executive Team. Reporting directly to the UK Managing Director, this role is pivotal in shaping and driving the growth strategy for our business in the UK. You will have overall accountability demand forecasting, delivering on revenue targets, and leading a high-performing growth team to ensure sustainable, competitive market-leading performance. You will interact with functions across the organisation including Finance, Marketing, Operations and our near and offshore delivery centres working collaboratively towards the shared goals of optimising for top and bottom line.

Key responsibilities
Executive Team accountability
As part of the UK executive team in one of the biggest growth markets in Valtech, you will collaborate with the other members of the executive team, and the broader senior leadership team, to create and execute the strategies for sustainable business growth that balances the needs of our people, our clients with profit and the planet. Based on your extensive experience you will constructively challenge aspects of the business that can be improved to help us stand out and win in a crowded market.
Growth Team Leadership & Focus
You will lead a dynamic and ambitious growth team dedicated to delivering exceptional results. With your wealth of industry experience in managing sales teams you will be able to identify opportunities for growth and development to create a cohesive, high-performing team as support and develop the individuals to be top of their game. You will be able to support and advise on the art and craft of both nurturing and growing existing client accounts and driving net-new new business opportunities.
Existing Clients
You will work with the vertical portfolio leads to advise on best practices for strategic relationship and account management, ensuring the vertical client partner teams consistently delivers outstanding engagement, exceptional service levels, and a consultative, value-driven sales approach. You will have ultimate accountability for ensuring we retain and grow key accounts year-on-year, solidifying Valtech as a long-term, strategic partner.
New Business
You will advise and support the vertical portfolio directors in driving efforts to expand our market presence by developing compelling go-to-market strategies for our service lines within the key verticals. This includes ensuring they are building and managing a robust new business pipeline through direct channels and strategic technology partnerships. From generating leads to winning pitches, you will ensure the team bring a focus on excellence, strategic thinking, and commercial acumen to every stage of the sales cycle.
Demand Forecasting
You are an expert in collecting and creating the right views of the data to be able to maintain and communicate accurate demand forecasting and ensuring a clear view of future opportunities and challenges. Through close collaboration with the Director of Finance, Director of Operations and the Vertical portfolio directors, you will align on maintaining the right supply-demand ratios, ensuring we can deliver on our promises, achieve expected gross margin while balancing growth ambitions, commercial risk and operational efficiency.
Sales Metrics and Performance
You will establish and maintain rigorous sales metrics and reporting processes to ensure the business remains data-driven and results-focused. This includes defining and regularly reviewing key performance indicators (KPIs), conducting in-depth analyses of sales metrics to provide actionable insights, and leading monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reviews to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and align on strategic priorities. Additionally, you will create and manage dynamic dashboards for real-time tracking of pipeline activity, team performance, and market trends, fostering transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across all growth initiatives.
Client Advocacy & Executive Sponsorship
You are as comfortable ‘pounding the streets and talking to clients as you are pushing spreadsheets. You will work your own network to create new business leads and act as an executive sponsor and trusted advisor to for strategic, high-value clients, offering innovative solutions and sound strategic counsel that fosters confidence and deepens their relationship with Valtech. Your leadership and engagement will ensure clients view us as a critical partner in achieving their goals.
Cultural Leadership
Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and customer-centricity. You will inspire your team to think big, execute with precision, and continuously push the boundaries of what’s possible while also building a team culture that is geared up to support sales and growth success.
Extensive Industry and technology knowledge
You have an in-depth understanding of the market, including an extensive, active network of movers and shakers of ICP buyers as well as key competitors and you have your finger on the pulse of the industry vertical trends. You can make quick, tough data/market informed strategic decisions on where to focus to ensure we are delivering on targets year after year. You are passionate about technology and the application of it and understand exactly how to apply this enthusiasm to drive the growth team, the broader organisation, clients and prospects.
Essential Experience
- Proven and extensive experience at director level in client-facing growth roles within the technology/software consulting or services industry
- An in-depth understanding of the market, including key competitors, industry vertical trends
- A well-managed, active, and extensive network of key potential ICP buyers
- Experience working with large, multi-national clients across a range of industries
- Proven ability to proactively lead a high performing sales team and support them driving the pipeline, accurate forecasting, and data/metrics optimisation
- Exceptional analytical skills for interpreting data and making informed decisions
- Data-oriented and metrics-focused, with a passion for achieving measurable outcomes
- A high level of proficiency when using CRM platforms (e.g. Salesforce) and sales analytics tools
- Strong leadership and relationship building skills with the ability to inspire and manage diverse, ambitious teams
- A strong industry network and an enjoyment and enthusiasm for attending, hosting, or speaking at industry/thought leadership events.
